"I would like you to paint my mother's black cat.
His name is "Solomon."
Liz, a total stranger at that
moment of inquiry asked. A black cat is a very challenging animal to
paint. Finding light, and shadows in
black requires a wizard's eye. So when Liz asked me to paint a black cat my
stomach twitched, but then she said his name...., and my
heart listened. I connected with not
only his name, but with his spirit....
I feel honored to have been chosen to paint him.
